Recipe: Raisin Pudding

3/4 c Brown sugar
2 1/2 c Water
1/4 c Butter
--------------------BATTER-------------------------
1/4 c Melted butter
1/2 c Brown sugar
1/2 c Milk
1 ts Vanilla
1 c All-purpose flour
Pinch of salt
2 ts Baking powder
3/4 c Raisins
1 c Whipping cream, whipped
Preheat oven to 350øF. In a saucepan, combine sauce ingredients. Heat until sugar is dissolved and butter melted. Pour into a large soufflé or casserole dish. In a bowl, combine butter, brown sugar, milk and vanilla. Add flour, salt and baking powder. Beat well. Stir in raisins. Spoon batter onto sauce. Bake for 40 minutes.
