Recipe: Quick Chocolate Brownies

200 g Unsalted butter; (7 oz)
50 g Caster sugar; (2 oz)
1 ts Vanilla essence
50 g Chopped dates; (Medjools are

175 g Plain flour; (6 oz)
1 ts Baking powder
50 g Cornflakes; crushed (2 oz)
25 g Cocoa; (1 oz)
Pre-heat the oven to 180-200'C / 350-400'F or gas 4-6 and grease a 20 cm (8 in) tin. Cream the butter and sugar together. Add all the other ingredients. Spoon the mixuture into the prepared tin and bake in the pre-heated oven for 25-30 minutes.
